"The Grilling Gourmand" - a gourmet gift basket with a BBQ flair!
It is really hard to believe that Summer is just around the corner, but our 90 degree temperatures remind me that is so! I’ve lived in Washington for over 20 years and I don’t ever, ever remember seeing the low 90s in April. Fortunately it didn’t come with the typical humidity so it wasn’t uncomfortable, just a bit of a shock to our systems. The first day of Summer this year will be Sunday June 21st - the same day as Father’s Day (we will, by the way be putting our selection of gift baskets for Father’s Day out very soon so that you can shop early with our early bird discounts).
To herald in the season, we have several gourmet gift baskets inspired by Summer. Soon to be featured on our home page, the Grilling Gourmand (above) is a beautiful gift that includes a 5 piece set of barbecue utensils with cherry handles - really nice looking. It is also filled with marinades and sauces for the grill master of the house (if that is a dad in your house, this would make a very nice father’s day gift).For the gardener in the family, we have a gift basket made to order. It includes a spade and trowel, garden gloves, flower and vegetable seed packets and a gardener’s knee pad.
Another gardeners gift basket includes a wonderful little book called “The Gardeners Guide to Life” along with other gourmet and gardening treats. We will also be adding a few more summer gift baskets this year, but they are still on the design table for now. I’m thinking about a pool theme and a picnic basket - what do you think?
